Following today’s two big social media events

November 30, 2010

There’s a lot of local government, Big Society and social media activity going on today.

Here at LGiU we are hosting the first of our series of sessions of the Big Society Learning Network.  Speakers include:

Paul Twivy, CEO The Big Society Network
Nick Burkitt, Deputy Director, Big Society programme team, Communities and Local Government
David Bailey, Bill Management Team, Communities and Local Government
Elke Loeffler, Chief Executive, Governance International
David Rodgers, Executive Director, CDS Co-operatives

Meanwhile, just around the corner, Hugh Flouch and Capital Ambition are hosting a day to launch their fascinating research paper  Online Networked Neighbourhoods which looks at the effect that hyperlocal sites are having on community identity and social capital in and around London.
